Healing from Trauma

My clients who have experienced trauma often tell me the traumatic event robbed them of who they used to be, of who they should have been. There was a version of you before the event happened and the you after. Many are left with pain, anger, sadness, anxiety and regret. You may experience nightmares, flashbacks, panic attacks and the feeling that there is an ever present shadow of that event looming over you. It feels relentless at times, like being haunted by the thing you wish hadn’t happened. You feel stuck. You feel lonely and you need help. Those around you may want to help, but they don’t know how to help. Sometimes the way they try to help makes things feel worse. I can help. You don’t have to do this alone.

Other clients may have found a way to move on but the trauma was always there in the background.
